The best time of the year is now: When light defeats darkness and days become more prominent than nights. This collection was taken in two places: Coney Island, Brooklyn NY during their annual and famous Mermaid Parade and in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Offering new views of lower Manhattan, now people can enjoy a few more feet of water front & probably get a chance to walk off those calories they gain from the nearby ice cream factory & famous pizza place!
Red Hook, Brooklyn

This was another Brooklyn expedition with NYC Photo Outings group last Saturday. We started at Smith and 9 street Subway Station(F & G) and roamed the streets of Red Hook. I managed to capture some video after the outing where the cloud formations were dramatic and quite fascinating.

It was sunny, somewhat cold last Saturday when we ascended back to the surface of Atlantic Ave. Regardless, I decided to take a walk around the Ave, Furman Street where some abandoned warehouses are located and then hit The Heights and crossed the bridge to Manhattan. All of the places seen on this walk are featured in a couple of video clips and you can also see some of the still photos taken.
Beneath The Surface: The Story Of Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue Tunnel

This was an outing with NYC Brainiacs to checkout the myths & rumors surrounding the forgotten tunnel on Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn, NY.
The series of 9 videos starts on the Southwestern corner of Atlantic Ave and Court Street where we lined up to get into the tunnel through a manhole. Then, Bob Diamond, the gentleman who rediscovered the tunnel in 1981 told us about the stories that took place back in mid 1840s when the tunnel was first planned and commissioned till the present day.
