The last train crossed the bridge back in 1991. Since then, the bridge became a local attraction and an interesting sight on RT 322.

mazes, mansions and fences: historic schuylkill river ridge hike

we started at the stables of Chamounix Mansion, got stuck in a maze, passed by Woodford, Laurel Hill, Mt Pleasant, Smith Playground, Strawberry and Sweetbriar mansions, crossed Girard bridge, walked by PA civil war memorial and many more landmarks on the trails.
